Sunday

This is the altered clipboard Joe made. He really enjoyed making it. He is now a 7 Gypsies fan too. Maybe this somehow justifies the art studio filled with stuff? That may be a stretch in his mind!

And speaking of Joe...

Joe does a nearly daily swim show called MerMan that I love. It reminds me of the mermaids at the local attraction in FL from my childhood called Weeki Wachee Springs. I even had a ViewMaster reel with pictures of the mermaids.

These are called Wally Wings. They are heavenly. Ok, imagine really good Buffalo wings - just the way you like them (if you live in Williamsburg you have to imagine wings you have had elsewhere cos there are NO good wings in The Burg!). THEN they put the wings on a grill. So you have the spicy wings layered with a smoky flavor. So good!

After Wally Wings, we did a drive called "The Loop" in Ormond Beach. It is the historic district of Ormond where the house are on the intracoastal waterway and just blocks from the Atlantic. The houses were enormous and then historic and then tiny then gynormous. Such a strange mix but way cool to drive around gawking. Jarrett had the camera and did a great job catching some of the houses from a moving car. Very interesting!

Edited: PS - Remember we were watching lightening while eating at Crabby Joe's? Well, that same storm produced a "suspicious funnel cloud" (has not been classified a tornado yet till the qualified officials deem it so) tore a portion of the roof off Aunt Catfish restaurant nearby. This is a place that Angela loves to eat. Nobody was hurt and the patrons finished their meals while workers nailed a tarp over the damaged roof. I guess crab legs are more important than a roof! Safety Schmafety! Pass the hush puppies.
