Lexi has been sleeping well here on Secret Lake. She is very tired every evening. She spends hours everyday running the circuit around the pool. She is guarding us from ducks, cranes, egrets, great blue herons and the greatest threat of all - the squirrel.
Squirrels climb the screening of the screen room enclosing the pool area. That drives Lexi crazy. Yesterday a squirrel was on the screen, many feet above Lexi's head, taunting her in a singsong way -"you can't get me!"
Lexi barked her annoyance and jumped around - falling into the pool. The squirrel had a hearty laugh at that! She is a good swimmer so she swims over to the side and we pull her out. We are hoping that she will catch on to this pool thing soon and stop falling in.
The squirrels hope she won't.
