2010 - (drumroll please) Fearless
I like words that are scary, pushy and a little bossy - words with power that are nearly impossible to ignore. They do not gently nudge me but command attention and shove me toward things that I would normally say - nope, not me. I like to be challenged, to learn new skills and conquer old fears.
When I heard the word (actually on a podcast by Jen Lee who was ending her year of Fearless), I knew that this was a word worth considering, or as she so beautifully put it, "auditioning". So I carried "fearless" around with me weighing it and trying it on for size. No other word was even in contention. Fearless claimed me promising to be the catalyst for many things.
Who am I to argue with that?
