Movie under the stars

Last night we attended the Family Movie Under the Stars in our community. They use an inflatable movie screen and show the movie in an outdoor ampitheatre. Families come with snacks or fast food dinner to eat while watching. It is so small town Americana. What a relief from the news of economic disaster and political gesturing.

Last night was Nim's Island. It was a cute fantasy story that was very watchable and even creative in the story telling method. I am always willing to watch Jodie Foster in any role - and with Abigail Breslin and Gerard Butler rounding out the cast, it was enjoyable. Add to that a night with a slight breeze so there was no sweating, the popcorn/slurpee combo from Target and it was a very pleasant experience.
