Rainy days and Mondays

It is raining here this evening. The rain is so needed and welcomed. We are dry to the bone.

See how the lake looks like it has a "beach"? That is just very low water. I would say that the lake is down at least 2 feet. We need rain.

Today was very sad as Steff and I visited our local AC Moore. It is one of our hangouts. We have made friends with Laura in the scrapbooking department who gives us the scoop on what is new and what is coming soon. We tell her about anything really good we see at Michael's (which by the way - we have not seen McCrafty in months! So why would we even bother going?)

Anyway, our friends at AC Moore had just found out that they were one of the stores closing during the restructuring of the corporation. They have 3 weeks to sell as much as possible at closeout prices and then the doors are closing.

A JoAnn's is opening in the store next. The AC Moore employees are hoping that they will be hired by JoAnn's. They must compete against each other for the spots that are available. The rest will be out job hunting in this sucking economy. I know it is a story that is being told all over our country but this one has very familiar faces.
