Painting faces

I started my Painting Faces class with Paulette Insall last week. It is so cool all the classes you can take online. Who would even think that you could learn to paint online? With the world of video anything is now possible.

So, the first assignment was to practice drawing faces. We started with parts. Just practicing eyes, noses, mouths and then putting them together in a face. It was a bit intimidating at first but I just hung in there and tried. (If Adam Corolla can dance on TV, I can do anything! I love his spunk! I will miss his two left feet on DWTS)


Then put it all together and draw a face. Hey, not bad!

This week we transfer to canvas and start painting - including mixing skin tones. gulp

I will let you know how that goes.

BTW - was anyone else just BORED this week on American Idol? I am hoping Syesha goes this week cos she picks the same song over and over. But even David Cook was not good this week. Disappointing...
