Thanksgiving

Inspired by this
Joe and I created our version. This includes patterned paper, vintage and current day wrapping paper, stamped images and squares cut from a magazine (my new fav Mary Engelbreit Home Companion). I hand stamped the bottom greenery and then added a K sticker. The squares are punched with a 2 1/8" square (thank you 40% coupon) on cardstock, framed in a 12x12 memory frame. Love it!

This is what we call "cooking in tiaras". Wednesday we started off our Tgiving festivities by all of us going for wing baskets ($2.95 with french fries - what a deal!) at our local sport pub and lunching hot spot. Steff and I had bought these new aprons at the craft show from last weekend so we wore our aprons and tiaras to lunch.

We all got into the cooking thang. Jarrett snapped green beans, Bill kept the dirty dishes

washed, Joe baked his famous caramel apple pie, and we, queens of the kitchen, had the rest of the meal under control.

Today there was not much to do besides cooking the turkeys - we opted for breasts this year. I think we may have overestimated just a tad when we realized that we had 32 lbs. of turkey breasts!!

And then it was time to EAT! I am still full. I will be full for days.

Afterwards, we made Christmas ornies and took naps. Photos of ornies to come. No nap photos allowed!

Tomorrow - the infamous BLACK FRIDAY is Steff's favorite day of the year. Yes, better than Christmas! We are heading out early and braving the crowds. Wish us luck and patience. Tomorrow night will be more turkey leftovers and celebrating Jarrett's 15th birthday which is Saturday.

What a week!
