Mt Dora
We went to Mt. Dora this weekend for an Arts and Craft Fest. Just to be geographically correct, there is NO mountain in Mt. Dora or even a hill. But they do have this quaint resorty town that is on a lake (perhaps it should be Lake Dora?) that is very pretty.
We packed a picnic lunch and ate in front of this lighthouse before we went into downtown and did the festival. We scared a juvenile alligator who was sunning himself on the bank and he belly flopped into the water making a loud splash as we walked by. Maybe it was to signal his annoyance at us for interrupting him?
It was breezy and so nice there on the lake. Way better than downtown where it alternated between hot and rainy. As usual, we were wet from both sweat and rain. Dry almost never happens in FL.
Did not buy anything at the festival as it was pretty expensive. We enjoyed looking though. It was a fun day. Sadly my camera batteries died right after a few pics. I really do need to be better prepared for this kind of thing!

Dry is overrated? Well, maybe not... still - it looks so nice!
