Ride, ride, ride... hitchin' a ride

This week we found a 4 in 1 audio player at a local thrift store. That means it has a record player - vinyl, baby! Jarrett has been wanting one for several years. There was some question about whether or not the turntable actually worked but after a price reduction, Jarrett decided to roll the dice. A quick look on the internet found that there was a simple trick to starting the turntable and the whole unit worked perfectly.



Joe went up into the attic and found my old 45's carry case. I did not even know we still had it. Talk about a flood of memories! This was the music of the late 60's and very early 70's. Jarrett has been listening to these slightly warped 45's from my childhood.



Yesterday we went to a couple of other thrifts looking for LP's. The selection is terrible unless you are looking for Sing Along with Mitch or Lawrence Welk but we did find a Best of Bob Dylan and Jethro Tull's Aqualung. Jarrett is now getting an education in the history of music from the 60's and 70's.

Such fun! And Hitchin' A Ride is one of his favorites or maybe it is just mine - not sure but either way it is definitely memory laden!
