Bloom where you are planted

Ten Things I like about where I live:

  1. Fall and winter are so moderate and delightful.
  2. The beach is 10 minutes away.
  3. Flip flops are year round shoes.
  4. Disney World is an hour away.
  5. Diversity in landscape (as long as you are not looking for mountains)
  6. Good schools and many colleges within a 2 hour radius.
  7. It's familiar - I grew up here and then returned.
  8. Cruise lines have ports here.
  9. No state income tax.
  10. Proximity to extended family.

Ten Things I don't like about where I live:

  1. Snakes.
  2. Hot, humid summers.
  3. Housing values dropping like flies.
  4. Traffic during tourist seasons.
  5. No fall colors.
  6. No snow.
  7. Yard work is intense and year long.
  8. Hurricane season.
  9. I-4.
  10. Wild fires.

What is the best and worst of where you live?
