Have you ever had a lucky week?

This week has been amazing. I should buy a lottery ticket.



I told you that I won 2 stamps from Teresa Collins and yesterday I saw a comment on my blog from Claudine Hellmuth that I had won 2 Home Companion magazines. Honestly, just getting a comment from Claudine was prize enough. But throw in Mary Englebreit? Hello Winner.



Also this week I took on a new paid assignment. I will be doing a weekly design blog for Tami Potter . I start it in October and it will be an ambitious project a week schedule using her products as a base. We have discussed some exciting ideas so I am looking forward to it. I will let you know when my first post is up. Wish me inspiration!

Tami and I go way back. I worked for her for many years, while living in VA, doing a myriad of things from customer service, trade shows, teaching classes and making projects for her 2 Mosaic Moments books. In fact, Cassie and I are on the cover of her latest book in an Italy mosaic. I am the hot sweaty one.


This morning, I got a very nice email from Roben-Marie Smith. She is a collage, mixed media, art journaling artist who also owns a very cool online rubber stamp store called Paperbag Studios. I will definitely be ordering this and when her new digital designs are up and running, she has a flourish frame and a vine frame that I love. I emailed Roben-Marie when I discovered her in my Journal Revolution book and realized that she lives in my town.


And it is just Wednesday. What else might this week hold for me?



This morning I went for a walk around my neighborhood taking photos. I was actually getting some exercise but I fooled myself into thinking it was a photography walk. So far I have not caught on - this may work!


Spanish moss in a magnolia tree? I am SO in the south.

I finished Twilight and I liked it. Never read a vampire love story before but it was very different. I have started New Moon now.

I am off to do some shopping, see a couple of new photography exhibits and have some great pizza. Did I mention it is a great week??
