My Wedding Gown

When Joe and I were engaged, I talked about how I wanted a simple wedding gown. Nothing elaborate or over the top - just a simple gown.

Now is a good time to scroll back down to that picture and snicker.

Joe used to tease me by saying that I was just going to get a bathing suit instead of a gown.

This gown was the first one I tried one. The whole princess thing swept me away and I fell in love with it. Now when I look at pictures of it, it makes me laugh. I wouldn't define that gown by "simple" in any stretch of the imagination.

When Joe saw me walking down the enormously long aisle in his family church, a Catholic cathedral, he had a big smile on his face. He was thinking - Yeah, that's simple.

I loved it - what can I say?
