School started back up today. You can't even imagine my joy. There has been a naked dance of joy to celebrate. There will be no pictures.
I think Fay is finally gone. She lingered and returned in ways that even the worst mother-inlaw could not conceive. Days and days of rain and grey, power outages and rising water. And then there was sun but it was intermittent when lingering outer bands of Fay would hit us all over again. Stay away - stay away now.
I am starting the Official Countdown to Creative Escape. I am warning you that it might get obnoxious so if you have no interest in scrapbooking then take a vacation from me. Really - I will be fine.
We leave in ONE WEEK. I think it is time to start my preparations as well. Today I am on Welcome Box Alert Mode. The Welcome Box that was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago is not. It has been reported and cross referenced so hopefully the damned thing will arrive today or it will be the Pathetically Neglected Box. I know FL is a long way from AZ but come on, welcome me for pity's sake!
In the meantime, I will shake off the box incident and focus on all the fun that I will be preparing for each day. Tomorrow I will start packing up my tools and supplies. I will remember the ample warnings about coming with an empty suitcase.
So, that is what I am up to - what about you?

Sandi, I was having a wonderful, quiet morning listening to the satellite radio. I logged onto my local news to see what's up and guess what the headline is? Depression #7 forms and guess what state is in the cone! How am I ever supposed to get on a back to school routine when I have to be in constant "be prepared" mode. Enjoy Creative Escape. Some day, I hope to attend a fun scrapbook retreat.
