In our current family breakdown, I am the only female in the house. Most of the time, that is fine. In the words of my sister, It is what it is.
*
But every now and again I am fully aware that I am the only female in a male dominated world. They, especially the teenaged one, challenge my sense of what is right in the world.

Today Jarrett was vacuuming. He consistently does a lousy job. In our house of ceramic tile, it is not like the stuff is hidden - it is sitting right there easily seen on the light colored tile especially the tumbleweeds of dog hair the size of a large puppy. How can he NOT see that?
*
I have discovered the answer. He is not looking. It is as if he is playing a videogame of Blindfolded Vacuuming because if you are caught looking where you are pointing said vacuum you could be attacked by Vacuum Zombies. And lose your health bars. Do it enough and you are dead.
****
That explains everything.

Hi, My sister Joan and her husband and two girls, just left me and Maine to go live down there in Seffner FL. I gave her your blog address to start reading when she gets settled. How long have you been in FL? My blog is http://www.doakiescreations.blogspot.com
this is HYSTERICAL.... oooooh my goodness
That was really funny! I thought it was only teenage girls that did things like that! It makes me feel a little bit better knowing that it just isn't my daughter who is lazy. LOL
Also, I finally saw Dan in Real Life and you were right it was really good. I want to see it again! Have you ever seen The Holiday? I think you would like that one...
Teenagers: I have had 4 teenage girls. They don't do anymore than they have to. So I had to learn to to very specific as to what I have asked them to do. You have to be very specific down to every little detail of the chore you have asked them to do. And be positive when speaking. Never negative. Speak what you want them to be. Always use positive words. You get what you speak. And praise with future hopefullness in mind. Give it a try. You never know what miracle might happen.
