The Divine Ms Swapp
This morning I worked on finishing up the Heidi Swapp album. Can you tell that the cover is a mirror? The mirror where you see yourself when you open this album was inspired. The project was very moving.
I loved this butterfly that we cut out from a overlay, cut in half and then punched holes to put it in album. Great idea for overlays that you just don't know what to do with. I love the idea as using them as an pseudo-acrylic page.
A random page shot - love the bird sticker with ghost heart on top. Layer, layer, layer.
This page is screaming Heidi. So cool.
And the last page. Me plus the highlight: getting Heidi to sign my album. Very cool.
She gave so much - I am not talking about stuff or her time. She gave of her unique self that day. I knew that I was experiencing something very special during the second day of her class. We had gone far from a scrapbooking how-to into a very intimate place. She stood in front of 260 women and was so powerfully vulnerable.
Amazing -
I did not know vulnerable and powerful could happen at the same time but it can and it is awe-inspiring to watch and be a small part of. It was worth the price of admission alone.
