This is my new painting. I took what I learned in Paulette's class and then added texture and paper to move towards a style that was more me.
I really like the mixed media world of combining elements from different genres of art. This has scrapbook paper and a sticker mixed in.
I made Jarrett model for me to get how light hits the planes of an Asian face. He was oh, so thrilled about that. I was so excited when she looked Asian - wasn't sure at all how to do it. I tried to think Cassie while I looked at the light on Jarrett's face. Now, there is imagination! : )

Great painting! I recognize some of those papers! I also love to scrapbook as well! I like incorporating all of those tons of scrapbook papers I have into my mixed media art. I would never in my lifetime use all of them otherwise! Keep up the great paintings, I love seeing them!
