Hello, it's me...

Welcome to Nashville. This photo caused lots of giggles as I saw where I threw my hand in celebration of arriving in the airport. Little did I know I was grabbing Kenny Chesney's crotch. I hope he understands that it was just my excitement over my creative getaway and not anything more. I am a happily married woman and he is...well, I guess maybe Renee Z. knows.

Here I am on the balcony of our room at the Opryland Hotel. Wow, what a facility. It is enormous and very very Disney-esque. That garden you see is all under glass - I am not outside at all which was very confusing to me when I thought we could not eat outside because it was raining. It was raining OUTSIDE but in this hotel outside is actually inside. I felt a little Truman like (the movie starring Jim Carrey). Just go with surreal.

Here is the amazing Heidi Swapp who taught a class in scrapbooking and life. She brought the entire room to tears and got a rousing, tear stained standing ovation. She was so inspiring with her words and most of all her honesty about her own struggles and shortcomings. She was fabulous and taught the most challenging, frustratingly brutal scrapbooking class that I have ever taken and made it an parallel to what it is like to be a woman struggling to find balance. Didn't relate to it at all - HA!

These are my new friends that I already adore. We had a blast at the closing ceremonies when we were so exhausted, spent (in every emotional, energy and financial way!) and a little slap happy. They were so much fun. Scrapbookers ARE the nicest people you will ever ever meet. Bar none.

And here is my travel companion, true friend and a person who has broadened my horizons exponentially. Thank you, Barbara. It was so much fun.

In fact, let's do it again. How about tomorrow?

More pics to come but because Barbara and I ARE really traveling again tomorrow, I need to get stuff done. Tomorrow finds me on my way to Williamsburg where Barbara and I will attempt the impossible.
